Helping Women & Teen Girls Move Beyond What’s Keeping Them Stuck
I’m the founder of Beyond Balance Counseling Solutions, a space I created because I wanted therapy to feel personal, genuine, and centered around the person sitting across from me.

How I show up in the therapy room is a big part of my work. I’ve been described as down-to-earth, relatable, easy to talk to, and someone who “gets it.” I want you to feel comfortable enough to be yourself, ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask, say “I don’t know,” laugh when you need to, and have space for the hard stuff too. I’ll meet you with compassion and without judgment, but I’ll also challenge you when you need it. I believe growth sometimes requires us to look at ourselves and our experiences in new ways.

I’m an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, and my work is also informed by IFS (parts work), CBT, DBT, and body-based approaches. I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. What we do together is shaped by who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what you need at that point in your journey. Sometimes that means slowing things down and making sense of what you’re feeling. Sometimes it means learning new ways to respond. And sometimes it means going deeper and giving attention to experiences that continue to show up in your life today.

My training, clinical experience, and continued learning are important parts of the therapist I am, but they aren’t the only things that shape how I connect with people. I also believe some of life’s greatest lessons come simply from being human. Life has a way of teaching us things no textbook ever could, and those experiences have shaped the compassion, empathy, and authenticity I bring into the therapy room.

I bring more than 15 years of experience working with teens, young adults, and women from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, including extensive experience and leadership within the Child Welfare System. Those years have given me the opportunity to sit with people through incredibly complicated seasons of life and have strengthened my belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood as the whole person they are.

To me, balance isn’t about having everything perfectly together. It’s about intentionally creating more alignment between your mind, body, and the life you want for yourself. Beyond is what happens when you begin recognizing what’s already within you and using it to heal, grow, and thrive.

Above all, I want you to feel like you’re sitting across from someone who has the experience and tools to support you, but who also understands that being human can be complicated sometimes.
My passion is helping you look beyond the version of yourself shaped by fear, doubt, rejection, or what you’ve been through, and begin discovering what’s possible when those things no longer get to define you.

That’s Beyond Balance...
Hey there
My name is Simone Guillet, LCSW-QS
If you landed on this page, you probably want to know more about who you’ll actually be talking to on the other side of the couch. Maybe you’re wondering: Will she get me? Will I feel comfortable talking to her? Can I actually be myself?

I get it.

Therapy is personal, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters. So, let me introduce myself and give you a better feel for who I am, what I bring to the therapy room, and what it might be like to work with me.
